My name is Teashia Lopez and I have been teaching for the Diocese of San Bernardino for 35 years. One of the highlights of my life is being blessed to have taught Kindergarten for 23 years in the Catholic school I attended when I was younger. My class motto is, "Don't be afraid to make mistakes; we learn from them."
I hope that everyone had a relaxing Easter break. It is hard to believe that Spring has sprung, and that there are only a few weeks of school left. I am so proud of my students' progress. April is a busy month for us, as we continue to learn and grow together.
What are we learning:
Religion: We are learning about ways to love and serve others with a kind heart, just as Jesus did.
Reading: We are learning how to identify and write different kinds of sentences, with a focus on command sentences. We are learning about homophones and synonyms. We are also working on reading comprehension and fluency skills.
Math: We are learning geometry, with a focus on the names and attributes of two and three dimensional shapes.
Science: We are learning facts about the rainforest.
Social Studies: We are learning about the history of Earth Day, and focusing on ways we can Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in order to help our planet.
Blessings,
Mrs. Lopez
