My name is Mrs. Guereca and I am happy to be the 4th Grade teacher here at St. Adelaide's Academy. I have been a teacher in the diocese for the past 10 years and have been here for the past four years. I love teaching this age level. They are growing and starting to questions so much around them.
Hello and Welcome to Fourth Grade.
In fourth grade, our studies revolve around our Lord. We learn and practice the 10 Commandments on a regular basis. We renew our faith weekly at Mass and celebrate in the Sacraments. We focus on reading more in-depth novels and information material. We learn to write narrative stories with dialogue and informational reports. We learn long division, geometry, fractions. In social studies we focus on California history. In Science, we do our first Science Fair Project on our own.
We try to go on three field trips a year and with one being a trip to Mission San Juan Capistrano. We welcome celebrating birthdays and accomplishments throughout the year.
We strive to learn from our mistakes and to being kind, Christ-like children of God.
I am always so amazed and proud of my students throughout the year and love learning new things from them. -
